Rampant Ricky and Belt Holder Davies back in Action

Another weekend and another opportunity for ranking points presents itself for the Amateur Darts Circuit, with three weekends of action to be played before the final Winmau Championship Tours of the year in Bristol.

Ricky King, the ADC Number 16, looks to make it 10 ADC tournament wins in 2022, as he is registered for the SDS Event Competition Event 1 in Swanage on Thursday night. The Englishman hasn’t won since the start of June when he won the Lou Mundy Summer Dart League, having beaten Richard Perry 5-0 in the Final .

The 31-year-old managed five straight wins in the Thursday RBL League winning events 5 to 9 having lost in the Final of event 4 to Jamie Elm. A standout performance must be his Final victory against Jordan Sharpe, winning 3-1 in the Final of event 5 averaging 100.98 in the Final.

The weekend’s action also sees a return to Riley’s in Chorlton for the September GSoD, with young JDC star Harry Gregory amongst the players registered for the event. The 17-year-old reached the Quarter Finals of ADC Championship Tour 6, losing to James Richardson having defeated ADC Number 27 Tom Cromwell 4-2 in the round before.

The youngster has won twice in the Amateur Darts Circuit in 2022 including a win at Riley’s in Chorlton back in March, beating Paul Mitchell 5-4 including a 14-darter finishing 70 for the decisive ninth leg.

Sunday involves the Nevill Darts Slam in Wales with Welsh title holder David Davies set to feature in Llandudno, having beat Robert Owen 8-1 to claim the belt at the first undisputed night of the year at the Botanical Gardens in Manchester.

The Welshman sits 40th in the rankings with four victories so far this year, picking up wins in his last three tournament entries with the most recent being the Little Oak in Chester July GSoD.

More rankings points are up for grabs this weekend in the Amateur Darts Circuit across the next four days, with Ricky King looking for victory in Swanage as he attempts to close in on the likes of Tom Lonsdale and Kevin Garcia who sit slightly ahead in the ADC Rankings.
